YARONA FM MUSIC AWARDS

YAMA AWARDS SUCCESS

This past weekend we saw the first Yarona FM Awards hosted at the Gaborone International Convention Centre in Gaborone Botswana.

The event was well organized with video insets from previous radio presenters telling their hilarious stories.

Less talking more fashion right!!!

First up is the biggest fashionista himself: Mothusi Lesolle. He went for a camo two piece. This was one of thee most daring outfits but the way he rocked this look was amazing. His legs even..... MY MY MY!

Next up is Sarona "Sasa Klass" Motlhagodi. She wore a silk cape with stockings, a small little number underneath and gorgeous black shoes with gold studs. Sasa really pushed the bar, We personally loved the look, very daring, critics can say what they want but we need to be fashion forward, she did it.

Then there was Gape Kgwaadira and friend. Gape looked exquisite in her crop top and high waist pants and the hat did it for us outfit by Aobakwe Molosiwa. We are not yet certain why her friend chose to wear a flare jumpsuit with boots but hey fashion boundaries must be pushed. It was an ok look.

Samantha Mogwe, winner of Best Female Award selected by David Moepeng looked regal in this ensemble Her metallic silver nails also added a touch of glam. Great look.

Make Up guru Tlhomamo Diamond and BFF Mercy Rathebe looked amazing. I mean take a look at Tlhomamo's shoes, zoom in if you must. They are wow, and that clutch with gold studs looks amazing. Mercy also looked AMAZING! Outfit fit for royalty. One thing though, that hair!

Game "Zeus wa Mrapper" Bantsi looked mighty dapper with his Ethnic look, always on point. His date for the night was looking good as well, not so sure about the make up though. Sometimes less is more. A touch of simplicity always goes a long way.

Fashion Duo Gatsh Fros graced the event with their presence. Very different outfit, something you would never think of wearing but they pulled it off. Matching Fros's and Outfit's done well. Can we look at those clutch bags. One being from Nandi Mngomas collection by Legit.

Tshepang Motsisi winner of Best Hip Hop DJ wore black and red which was tastefully done. Sadie Swartz and Elte appear in the middle. We are all for daring outfits but Elte's underwear wasnt appealing to the eye, maybe a different colour like black would have went down well or maybe she should have respected that it is 'UNDER' wear, her outfit was gorgeous though.

Loud mouth DJ, Mdu was there looking like he was at a kwaito party, more effort could have been put in brother. Thato "Scar" Matlhabaphiri was also there in All Kasi denim on denim which looked good. We commend him on the weight loss he looks mighty fine yummmm!

Mimi "Zizi Panther" Mokwathi looked absolutely gorgeous in that yellow number, we loved it. We are not so sure about the white jumpsuit tho, it was way too casual.

Model Lizzie was there with a friend showing leg. Both looked amazing with a black and gold theme. The lady in the middle looked good, the colour clash was on point. I mean look at her shoes wow! The ladies in the other pic, one looked colourful and beautiful but we wish she passed on the fashion advise to her friend who wore a high-low red and gold top and high waist pants, eish we dont understand.

Model Gorata Gisele Masia was looking pretty in red showing that simplicity goes a long way, We love the spikes on her shoes. Dj Cupid showed up in a small little number. Maybe different shoes, eish I dont know. Nikki from Nicki Fix It  was also there in a red number. The look was a bit grown up but she pulled it off.

The event was tastefully done though there were glitches here and there. The hosts Dollar Mac and Loungo from Flavour Dome aka "King B" were absolutely funny. The event met its target markets entertainment level and Batswana were well dressed for the event. I wish i had a video camera for all the ladies walking like they about to be crippled at the end of the night. Ladies! Ladies! Ladies! Til we meet again. The anonymous fashion police will be out there watching.
